this is my first build. its a 91 xj that i bought from my uncle for 500 bucks. it had a lot of problems when i bought it about 3 years ago. i have kept all the receipts for everything i have done to it and so far i have spent a little over 3000 dollars to get it where i am happy with it. it has pro comp 3 inch coils in the front, along with the control arms. the rear is s10 bastard 3 inch leafs. cooper stt 31x10.50 15 on steel rock crawler rims. trimmed fenders. front non disco hp d30 from a 99. i have an 8.8 trussed for the rear with posi and disc brakes. (not in yet).

my plans for the future are the 6.5 inch longarm kit from rough country with some 35 inch mudders. custom tube bumper front and custom rear bumper with tire carrier, sliders in place of the rockers, truss the front axle, bedline interior heavily, one good coat on the underside, paint od green, or maybe flat black, and an exo cage.

my buddy almost flipped his bronco down the table top at my house (that i enjoy jumping in my jeep). the only thing holding it from going over was a small tree. i had to pull him sideways while he drove back and forth to work his way back up to the top. we had to move the chain up a little higher though. we had it on the leaf springs for some reason

well i only wanted three inches to match the front. if you also want to get a three inch lift, alls you do is take the s10 pack apart, remove its main and the helper spring, cut the s10 main to the length of the helper spring and put it on bottom. dont use the helper. bolt the pack to your main, and thats it. i had to customize my shackle a bit though because it made the pack shorter with more arch. i will take some pics tomorrow of the shackle. here is a pic of the pack with the helper spring in. its a little too stiff with it. i recommend putting the main leaf under there. just cut to length. gives it a very nice ride too.

here is what my stock springs looked like. i made a really long set of shackles to get three inches, then i jumped it a little too high.

Dont fool with the block drain plug. Go to Home Depot/ Lowes and get some piping. Specifically a galvanized "T" and a double male extension. Remove your temp sensor from the front of the t-stat housing and screw in the "T" where the sensor goes. On one end of the "T", screw in your sensor and the other end screw in the sensor for your gauge. Now my temp sensor is a mechanical gauge. I will take some pics and post them so you really understand.
