Project Woody
I started out with this YJ.
Then I saw the light and traded for this 89 wagoneer(couldnt keep the 4 banger running no matter what I did).
THere was alot wrong with this rig but it atleast ran. Drove it for a little while the way it was then built this winch bumper and put a 10,000 electric winch on the bumper.
No way a deer is going to take me out. By the way it has an xj front clip on it do to a wreck the previous owner had.
Next I took the old nasty carpet out and put bed liner in.
It still had the weak *** 35 in the rear so I bought this 8.8 disk brake rearend.
Trimmed the fenders.
The previous owner fixed the head liner by putting a bunch of thumb tacks in it. After the 100th one fell out and I sat on it I fixed it. I put desert camo on it to match the rest of the interior.
Was playing in the snow when the 35 finally let go.
My wifes truck had been down and she drove my rig for about a year. THis is when I found out that some how one of my axle shafts had broken while she was driving it. I tried driving home in 4wheel drive and nothing. Towed it home with my Ford.

So I figured it would be a good time to put the 8.8 in. I have a friend that owns a muffler shop. He let me bring it over (I also have a friend that owns a roll back). He even welded it up for me. I had it ready before I took it to him.
Tooke it home got all the lines reran put all new everything on the axle and seals in the axle. ALso painted the diff cover while I had it off.
Here is my woody sitting next to a 91 I just bought. Shows how big it is.
Playing in the snow again.

By the way I read in another thread to watch out for cheap xj's. THe briarwood in the above pic was $250 and the xj in this video was one I bought for $500. I find cheap rigs all the time that are good. You just have to know what to watch for.
