well had a nice day so i took off the doors, will ride doorless untill i finish the half doors

 

well that should be some way to keep you focused on building the half doors

well i had a huge helping hand with them from a buddy, but they are finally done (for now) got a bad can of bondo that was old and already hardish, and i have never worked with the stuff, so the bondo turned out pretty bad, but i just wanted them done for this year i will work on them more when i take them off in the fall/winter. i went with a flat black just because it is cheap and easy, i will get them painted when i paint the jeep sometime in the future. i think they look damn sharp and at least set me apart from all the MALLCRAWLERS in my town.





My philosophy: Any time you modify your jeep, take it out and see what its like offroad!



Me and my buddy (that ranger) are going to the Blue Mts... Toucannan, to play around during the week starting monday, i will be sure to take tons of pics and vids and just have a blast!

Its time for tires! i have been looking for some used good shape tires but havent found any. i am going to be considering retreads.. STUCK #1



Stuck #2... even with good tires i wouldnt have been able to get out of this one, that hole was nearly 3ft deep. couldnt see it when it was fulled with water and mud, i found all the spots as i was always in the lead.





ill post some more when my buddy gets home and uploads the ones he took, these are just the ones i took on my phone

 

door's look ok just need to do some work with a da sander and a flapper wheel to get um good and pretty. but other then that they look OK as is

 

yeah the can of bondo i got was TERRIBLE it was already half hardened and just a real mess. this winter when i pull them i am going to redo the bondo job and clean it up. I just wanted them done for now

 

its been a while since i have had a computer. not much new with the jeep, got a set of tires on craigs for 100, virtually brand new put them on a set of black stealies. im gonna go get an estimate on how much it will cost maaco to paint it today...

its my dads, its all we use it for is towing.

 

i looked into maaco for paint.. about 250-300 for a cheap job that ive heard lasts a year or so then goes to crap (just what i have heard) being a cheapo i decided to rattle can it.... 55 bucks for the paint and pin stripe and a free evening and this is the result





in no means is it the best paint job out there, but i was very pleased with the cost and time it took.. and it is got to be one of the sharpest looking xjs in town now.
