not a bad idea.. go flareless with the 2" BB and you can clear 31s for time being on the new rims and youll be golden till you got more cashmoney

well today i finally had time to attend to my brake issue. i ended up having two leaks, on front right passanger where the hard line meets my rustys line. the hard line had a small crack in it. also rear passanger side the brake cylinder was leaking so we had to tear my rear brakes apart to change that. ran into an issue when the hard line was seized into the brake cylinder and would release to we had to replace part of my hard line there as well. ended up taking us three trips to the auto parts store and about 2 hours but we got it done in the cold new england weather.

well this lovely 45-55 degree jan/feb weather has allowed me to get some work done on the jeep. between work n classes though only got a few things done.
first off i finally got my THOR cold air intake & cowl snorkel kit installed. took legit 30 min, took us longer bc we broke the bit for the hole saw late sunday night when no stores were open. the peice that attaches to the cowl is screwed in by 4 screws clearly not making it 100% waterproof so we added a bead of black rtv along the edges of the bracket as seen here, as you can tell still not 100% waterproof but closest ill be able to get, i will say that is only negative aspect of this kit, the mounting bracket mounting to the cowl. not a huge deal imo.

we had to relocated the braket that your under the hood light attatches too, so we just fliped it to the other side of the mounting brackett as you can see in the first picture. you can definatly hear the kit with it being right behind your dash in the cowl, when driving at low speeds all you can hear is all the air being sucked in through your cowl, but when reaching higher speeds where your rpms hit 2.5 and up range the kits gives a nice mean sounding purr. im very happy with the kit thus far, as like i said only negaspect is the mounting bracket to the cowl. on the plus side my jeep hasnt pass 210 on my temp gauge since install and before it always hovered just past the 210 mark. anyways here is what she looks like finished.

i also had the time to mount Detours custom A-piller light brackets (let me say Mark is a great guy to deal with and makes some pretty fine products, i highly reccomend his work and customer service) i mounted some cheapo Auto Zone lights to them for the time being. while Mark does send hardware for the brackets, i decided i wanted to mount them lower then suggested and when we pulled interior trim around the A-pillers we realized the hardware he gave us wouldnt work due to room in the A-piller and size of the bolts. so i went out n got some 3/4" in length grade 8 screws drilled three holes and mounted the brackets that way. the middle of the three holes is made for the wiring of the lights to go through so they cant be seen from outside the jeep, but im ok with some wires showing if it means the brackets are more structuraly stable. heres a pick of how there mounted followed by what they look like mounted from in front of my jeep.

finally with the weather coroperating i decided to slap some new stickers on the jeep after getting fine products from these companys. didnt realize till now my reflection is completely in the pic haa least i look BA lololz
