so some updates and a big thanks to TJkiller98, Mcguyver_XJ, and Stealthcherokee for hooking me up with a rustys steering box brace, factory roof rack tire carrier, and a beat to **** but still in working order hi-lift off tims old XJ. non the big decision is whether or not i wanna sell my roof rack, or hold it n see what im feeling this summer for how i wanna mount my spare, time & money will tell. i will have pics up soon of all the parts.

so i decided it was finally time to cut my fenders so i wouldnt cut up my new tires on the trails when wheeling, after talking to my buddy tomborsari from the forum we decided to make a play date for the jeeps and have a cutting party.. lets just say the jeeps might have enjoyed it more then we did. here are so pics (sorry there all ****ty cell pics my blackberry broke awhile back so till march im back to the stoneage and using a flip phone)
we'll start with the rears. dont forget to mark off all the tac welds on the pinch seam so you dont cut right through one

well after slicing and dicing up the rear here is what her back end looked like

we came to the conclusion the closer together you cut esp around the corners the easier it is fold the rears.
after bangin the crap outta her rear end (no pun intended (; ) this is what she looked like

next came tapping off the front

for some odd reason i must have forgotten to take a pic after we cut the front so i will have to get on that once i take some pics of the steering box brace n factory roof rack.
but wait! im not done yet
decided the factory trim along side the jeep was bringing down her sexyness so i decided it was time to strip the side trim off her.
Before:

After:

i still need to get a grinder and sand down the front fenders where i trimmed so its smooth, i also will be mounting my tj flares soon now that my fenders are cut. my only issue here is when it comes to the rear i have the 1/4 panel guards and i dont want the two halfs of the rear tjs flares uneven so i may make guards of the same width steel for my doors so when i mount the flares they will be even, look better and not be able to get caught on anything when wheeling.
that should be all the updates i have for now, stay tuned till next time everyone!!

Hey just food for thought but, I was gonna do the tj flare thing to get me through inspection seeing as how I'm a month late. Had a full set I got for free off a guy out my way, completely forgot I took 2 extra rears from a different tj at the orange scrap yard, 4 rears looks so much nice than the front tj flares. To each their own but if you can wait until after tomorrow I'll show ya what the 4 rears look like.

And there you go calling me out on my dilemma lol, not 100% sure the flares were suppose to get done today I'm thinking self tapping would be the easiest way unfortunately my heep wouldn't start again. Cranks and cranks but will not turn over. Have to figure it out before I do anymore work to it. When they're done I'll show you.

so the naxja member sent me a pic of what the THOR Cold air intake cowl snorkel kit will look like mounted. he never used it just mounted it for this picture.

Also have big change coming for the jeep, decided i want a lower center of gravity and would like to fit in parking garages easier, i work at a mall so parking can get tough when you havta find a spot outside the parking structures. thus being said i will be selling my Factory roof rack tire carrier, and my Yakima roof rack with 2 light brackets mounted to it, and which is currently having a custom tire carrier mounted to it, and will be purchasing the new Detoours rear knucklebone kit. had him modify it a little bit for me. He's basing my model of this carrier he made for a customer in Texas.
