In news somewhat unrelated to Jeeping. My wife and I welcomed our son into this world back on Nov 1st 2016. He is now 5 months old.

My wife has struggled going back to her full-time position as a personal banker at our local bank here in town. Makes great money, works with great people. However, she felt unfulfilled, her heart lay at home with the baby.

After, much deliberation we made a family decision for her to go part time. Perfect timing for this! My work best friend's wife is the CEO of a very small FCU. This FCU just lost an employee. It is a one of the FCUs that caters to a few businesses in our area. So you have to work at these businesses to become a member. The businesses range from an adhesives factory to an engineering firm. There will be only two employees: my wife and the CEO. My wife will have a small office at the adhesives factory where the workers can come do their banking.

She will work 8:30 to 3:30, Monday thru Thursday and have off every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

ok... cut to the chase

now that I don't have to pick my son up from the in-laws everyday since the wife gets off early now. That means:

i can rip the the Jeep apart and do major projects and not have to worry about getting back together in one night or one weekend !

We are very excited to see what the future holds.

It's nice not having to rely on the jeep and being able to take time on projects, or tackle project which may take more than a weekend. I got a ninja, and now the jeep is sitting in my garage back home partially torn down getting ready for major surgery.

Be careful tearing into the Jeep. It is all too easy for the project to grow and grow until it is torn apart in the garage for a year or more. My Camaro ended up like that. "While I'm in there, I might as well...." Next thing you know the frame is on the other side of the garage.

This man speaks from experience. My XJ has been on jack stands since december. Ive also doubled what I intended on spending for the exact reason you quoted.

Granted I've been waiting on my 3-link to show up since November, so im forced to be at a stand still. It sure as heck hasnt prevented me from saying "while its in the garage I might as well do ___________ too."
