. I love the matching cables, TB, mounts The throttle body's sole purpose is a damper that controls the amount of air that goes into the intake. Larger throttle body means more air in. More air means more potential for power. Combine a bored out throttle body with a less-restrictive exhaust and you can, with the right tune, see an increase in power.
