I just started school here at TC3 in Dryden, NY. Pretty much all settled into my new apartment except I need to set up the garage some more. The garage has a dirt floor but a paved parking spot in front of the door. Its not the best set up in the world but it is better than nothing. Being a new student means this is gonna be an even slower build due to time and money. But I'll still try to be active on here when I have free time. I sold the MJ back to Idleserivice and just bought my wife a Geo Metro.

I haven't been on here much with college and moving. I did get some tail light guards made by xjfirefighter. Also got an Orvis edition tire cover recently.

You have a 99 and I have a 90 which means different body styles. My 90 does not have a soundbar, i believe soundbars first came out in 96. Anyway I have 1 speaker in each door and 2 in the hatchback. Since mine is a 90 Laredo it came with Dolby surround which were pretty nice speakers back in the day.

I been eyeing Truck Lite LEDs for a long time. Actually since I bought my XJ and started research about them. This is the best thread about them: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/ju...lights-158645/
So after over a year of waiting, I ordered a set from Drive Train America on their eBay page:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Truck-Lite-27450C-Single-Rectangular-LED-5-X-7-Truck-Jeep-XJ-YJ-Headlight-/360767735920?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53ff6ec870&vxp=mtr $380 with free shipping compared to Quadratec that wants $500 + shipping. I will also be replacing my marker light housings and turn signal housings. Also gonna throw new bulbs in the new housings.
So I will have new bulbs in all of my exterior lights when I get these parts in.
I will get some before and after pics of these.

I got some good deals on Polk 5.25" speakers for my doors. So I installed a pair of them in my front doors. While doing that I noticed a purple wire was cut in the door boot. Turns out that is the reason my passengers couldn't roll down their windows. That turned out to be an easy fix.
Also been working on doing more LEDs for the interior. I've had "white" LEDs in the cluster and shifters for awhile now. Now I got a set of Walmart LED strips for the footwells. The switch indicators are now also using "white" LEDs. The cargo light is also using an LED. The overhead console is being the biggest pain to do the swap in.

I'm loving the build! I will be following, for sure. My jeep is pretty much stock. Besides my sub and radio! Jeepy is an 89 and the engine and drivetrain are from a 92

Thanks man. I was driving about an hour ago in the snow and ended up in a ditch. I don't think I broke anything but I'll check it out some more in the morning.

Gotta love the New England weather! And the volatile mixture they spread on the roads... We're expecting some snow for the holiday, good thing I have studded snows now! Normally I just run all season tires, but I got a great deal on these ones
Great deal on the whole Jeep for that matter haha

I know what you mean about these roads. I grew up in CT (better part of 18 years), lived in ME for a short time, and now live in NY (last 5 years). I love my all terrain tires, they have handled well at everything I put them through. Crashing into the ditch was my error as a driver. I'd like to only blame the road, but I hit the brakes too late. No serious damage was done to the Jeep. The gas tank has a dent, but it'll survive.
What part of Maine are you familiar with? I haven't been up here for long, just the past few years. I am from Washington State, down in Pacific County. Lots of rain, pretty much a total of zero on the snow scale. So this has taken some time to get used to.The difference in rust and corrosion is phenominal, I miss being able to find vehicles from the 70's and 80's for good prices with little to no rust. Here it's a struggle to even find something from 5 years ago that hasn't rotted out

That's what I get for coming here though haha. I suppose I can manage if I keep finding winners, like my ol' Jeep
