Just Installed my Truck Lite LED Headlights
Well, I have been doing a ton of research for over a month now on what would be the best setup to upgrade my stock headlights on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I'm not a serious off-roader, I'm just a guy who loves Jeeps. That being said, I didn't want some sort of crazy off-road setup. Instead I wanted something that fit like OEM, had good light output, and would last a long time.
I finally decided on the Truck Lite LED headlamps for the XJ. Quadratec had them for $499 which seemed a bit steep to me (though Quadratec is always over priced if you ask me) so I did some searching and found them from a highly reviewed place called Drivetrain America.
I found them here for $418 for a pair, nearly $80 cheaper than Quadratec!

I ordered them up and they got shipped super fast which was nice. I just finished installed them tonight and I'm seriously blown away...
Most people are going to whine and say "that's too much money for a head light" but I assure you these people have NO idea what they're missing. The light output on these things is nuts! Not only that but they are DOT legal, made in the USA, and once you hold them in your hands you'll see that these things are no joke. I've never felt a headlight assembly that felt so durable (perhaps it's the die-cast housings and polycarbonate lenses?)!
The installed in a matter of minutes and plugged right into the stock harnesses. There was absolutely NO modification at all to get them to fit which is another huge plus. At first I was thinking the 'blackout' look of the headlights when they are turned off wouldn't look good on my Jeep but actually it looks amazing in person!
Either way, I just had to post this because I am absolutely thrilled with this setup. Sure it was expensive but it is completely worth it. For once I can actually enjoy driving my XJ at night and see everything in my way. The light output is much closer to daylight in color and the cutoff patterns rival that of an actual OEM projector HID setup.
I've had OEM HIDs before on past cars and I have to say that these things are right up there (if not better) with a high quality HID setup (not some crappy eBay setup).
Anyone who is interested I implore you to take the plunge and buy these things. They truly are worth every penny!
I'll post more pictures soon!

So.... Did they offer you a job too?
I mean I was already interested in LED headlights but after reading your testimony (or sales pitch) I am convinced I need to get these.
On a serious note, it does look good. Those would compliment my new LED light bar perfectly.

Can you post some pics of them shining down the road or something? I want to see what type of pattern these put out.

I'll post some pictures from the drivers seat with the highs and lows.
They didnt offer me a job but I just LOVE these things. They quality is definitely amazing and the light output of the LEDs looks very, very similar to a nice OEM HID setup.
Another cool feature is the fact that the amount of power they draw is next to nothing compared to a halogen setup. Probably makes things easier on the alternator.

When you're out taking pics, could you post a daytime pic too? I wanna see what they look like with the lights off.

Yeah I'll take some daytime pics as well! I was worried it would look weird since I have the Limited chrome grill but it actually looks great. At night it looks good as well because the upper half of the headlights are the low beams and people keep glancing at the car wondering what kind of car it is. Once they see its a jeep I think they're pretty surprised.

Pumpiniron just wondering did you do upgrade the headlight harness? Kind of curious if that would make them even brighter.(btw I'm electrically retarded if that question doesn't make sense)

Jealousy.
So with these, an upgraded harness isn't needed, like it is if you do the H4 conversion? Think it would make it brighter if you did put in an upgraded harness?

They are great lights, I have 2 sets NIB available for $400 shipped. I bought a case when I got mine. They are expensive but install in minutes, no harness needed. Way brighter than other options and LEGAL! Worth the investment. You can always resale them if you get rid of the Jeep.
