ill probly start another thread for just the 5.3 stuff once i get to that point. that way the info is more easily available to those who want it, and they wont have to sift through all my build to get to the good stuff

im hoping to do it for under 4k$ i think it can be done..if im lucky

it all depends whether i can afford a place of my own with a drive way/garage when its time to move out of my apt

Is Rotella worth the switch, I've been using Pennzoil high mileage and Mopar Filters.

the high zinc content is good for the 4.0 flat tappet motors. i highly recomend adding a can of restore in with the oil. jeep runs and drives sooooo much better

big difference for me. cold starts are better, no more knocking at start up, my lifter tick went away, and its running smoother with more power.

my rings are probably shot and the restore bumped up my comperssion

power steering cooler installed, broke the return line fitting off the reservoir, walked to the parts store and got an 1/8"NPT to 5/16 barb elbow and "Tapped" it in and rtv'ed the snot out of it. it seems to bee holding so far but the pump seems to groan A LOT. i bleed the crap out of it so there shouldnt be any air in the system. if it doesnt hold up i still have the wj pump i can toss on(didnt install it today cause it was at my apartment 20 miles away from where i was working on the jeep)
