I have the overhead console already. Jeepcomj got one for me for free. I just didnt want to mess up one putting it in without guidance. I will put one in eventually, I still need to get the right wiring. The stuff he pulled for me wouldnt work. The material I got at a place called joanns fabric or something. I have been looking for a while for something that would match. army surplus' and other places. They were all expensive and I didnt want to pay $10+ for each yard of fabric. This place was no different but there was a coupon for 50% off so I couldnt pass it up. I originally wanted a wetlands camo but its impossible to find.

Sweet looking jeep, I've got 31's stuffed under a 2 inch BB right now and I was lookin at the RC 4.5" to put in this xmas, now I know what it'll look like. I love how much room there is under the flares. I like how clean you're keepin the look.

I just purchased my first Jeep, a 97 XJ. I was planning to do the RC 4.5" with 31's. I drive it to work and back, 550 miles, and wanted to keep the tires smaller for better highway performance. This really helps me out to see how it will look with 31's. Great looking jeep.

I got my Rough Country adjustable lower control arms installed today. Still have to do the upper control arms i have sitting in a box.

I still have some bugs I need to figure out. I want to get this thing in great shape so I can take it on my trip to the Four Corners area in May without any worries. I have a small wobbling issue I have to button down. I think I need new drive shaft U-joints.

My not so distant plans:
New front seats. something comfy, maybe zj seats.
New Rough Country 2.2 Shocks
New beefy steering. Either JCR (if money allows) or the cheaper v8 zj stuff.
Possibly a Detours Tailbone system
New axles geared to 4.10's
99+ xj door seals

Im making a JY run with jeepcomj in early February so hopefully I can tackle some of those items then.

well my jeep started sounding like hell and feeling like it. i took a look at it and thought it was the steering box. i went over to jeepcomj's place and he confirmed it. great. so now once i get back from ice fishing with my dad, i have to put one in before school next week.

the plus side is, jeepcomj is taking time to help me out saturday or sunday when i get home.

the bonus to this is I am giving him the steering box out of my '87...full justification for me putting the AGR steering box I have in it...

Nice build Jake looks real sharp I am thinking of very similar mods, just wondering if you would do this over would you get 32's? or maybe even 33's?
