Project Northwoods
Jake, you finally got me on here...
and, I have to say. I agree with everyone here, and everyone from the badlands run...that's one sick looking jeep.
I have a t-case skid for you btw, as well as the "new" rims, and some ideas for your rear bumper.
oh, winter run by the way. looks like the Badlands again sometime around the last week of december, or first week of january. right during your christmas break. convoy down again?

Very nice XJ, my 95 started out looking EXACTLY like yours did, red stripe and all. I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one who felt the need to ditch the stupid factory striping, it really brings out the green color once the red is gone. Anyways, thanks for the great build thread!
Nice looking rig. Only thing that would drive me nuts is the antenna mounted in my view out front of the rig... I couldn't deal with that. It looks much better in the air rather than rolling on stockers!

Hey, your rig looks awesome! I wanted to thank you for the tip on the General Grabbers. I'm in the market for some 30's or 31's and BFG's are a little pricey. I will look at the Grabbers first.

thanks. yeah when i put the antenna on i had to do it like 10 min. before i drove to IN for a trail run and didnt want to drill holes where i would regret. i thought it would bother me a lot as well but to tell you the truth it doesnt at all. i will probably move it eventually, i just want it somewhere where it isnt going to get ripped off. but yeah it doesnt really bother me like i thought it would.

This weekend jeepcomj helped me get a bunch of stuff done. First we took out my cb and antenna so i can remount it differently later. What a perfect weekend to. The weather is so nice out for no reason in February. It was like 50* today.
Then we installed my Rockcrusher Diff. Covers which look awesome!

Then we fab-ed up some rear shock mounts because I sheared off the bolts into the unibody when I installed the lift. But either way no more bar pins!
The pictures look a little weird but I didnt care because I was tired haha.

nice work guys. and your right, it was insanely nice out today. i had all the garage doors open on the shop today. was warmer outside that it was in the shop haha.
I'm happy with the diff covers and the design of the mounts...but I really HATE my welder. it sucks that it wasn't working too well and just turned out boogered. strong enough to hold though at least.
hell of alot better than the old mounts anyways
(btw the woodgrain is all in the MJ, radio works, interior spotlessly clean, fog lights and aux. fan wired
)
