Its getting so CLOSE!
I installed the front coils and shocks. The shocks are a lot nicer then I thought they were. I also installed my v8 ZJ front sway bar. I didn't do the quick disconnects yet because I need to get some heat on the axles mounted bolt to break it loose. That should be done tomorrow night.
Things left to do:
Install brakelines, Install quick discos, Finish up steering and alignment, bolt up front drive shaft, Finish installing some extra brackets rough country has for their crossmember, Tighten and double check all the bolts/nuts, re-install steering box brace.
Also, not needed to get it driving, I need to do a little fab on my JCR sliders to allow them to work with the rough country crossmember for the long arms.
It sounds like a lot, but its a lot of small stuff that I am hoping to rap up Sunday night

Well after the crappy turn out of that Packer game today, Wade came over with a torch and helped me get further on the jeep. My buddy Tim dropped by to in his XJ and even later on, Pat showed up.
The damn thing is getting so close. It got pretty dark out by 6:30 PM which really sucks, really cuts into the day.
Got the front brakes/brakelines installed. The front axle is pretty rapped up. Got the trac bar installed. Also torched/heated up the axle end sway bar studs to pop them out. And to finish off we got the Rough Country quick discos installed. The new style is actually a great design and fairly priced. Their old style (the three piece style) sucked! It was noisy and sloppy without a good way of holding up the sway bar unless you fabbed something. The new style looks better, more quite and more stout.
The loss of day really cuts into it all.
Pat and I are hoping to actually finish it up tomorrow night!
Left to do to get it rolling:
Rear brake lines and bleeding, steering lines and alignment, the two support brackets for the crossmember and install the Red Top and really that is it!
On a side note: Need to do some custom work on the sliders still so they can work with the Rough Country long arms, need to bolt the cb down and that might be it! I also got a 99+ intake manifold from Jerry on a trade!
Didn't take pictures because we worked til dark and it is nothing to really show off in pics. (Insert a comment from Mark here)

So I got some work done tonight. When rough country sent my lift, they forgot the bag with the brakeline brackets and clips. Received that in the mail today and in perfect time. Installed the stuff from rough country. The I replaced my stock proportioning valve internals with internals from a ZJ with disc brake internals. Then I bled the brakelines. That is all good to go.
XJ on left, ZJ on right:

Quick Discos installed:

Coming along!:

Rear cleans up good. That is a fullsize 33" spare! Still have to strap it down. I am also going to create a basket rack to go over tire and tool box.:

Still need to finish steering. I need Pat or Wades help with the alignment as well. Then I need to figure out why it wont start. I am going to make sure there is power getting to the starter then try cleaning the NSS.
Then I am go for breaking in the gears.
Eventually I also need to install steering box brace and the rock sliders!

Finally got the damn thing on all fours again! Its not 100% done. I need help with the alignment. Also I cant get it started right now. Popular opinion is that it is the Neutral Safety Switch, which can easily be damaged when working with it. So sometime this week, it WILL be on the road!

Also got the CB installed inside the cab.

Couple random pics next to my buddy Tim's XJ
