well got some stuff done tonight. didnt go as good as I wanted. Jeepcomj came over to help out.

we started to get the front bumper on as well as the Durango steering box all in one go. well got everything all good to go to find out the Unibody Tie In Brackets are junk. only three of the 6 holes would line up on either of the two. I dont know what happened with that batch. I am going to give them a call tomorrow and hopefully they take care of me or im going to be a little pissed off. so we put that on the back burner which sucks cuz I wanted to wrap that up.

We did get a surprise put onto my roof rails though
We also ran my cb cable all the way up so now i just have to plug it all in. Nice and hidden.
Then just to complete more, we got the new trac bar bracket on to make progress.

Ill post pics tomorrow and hopefully have more to show and tell.

as far as more progress, the new unit bearings and inner axle seals for the D30 came UPS today!

got the front bumper on after making the Unibody Tie-in Brackets right. Also got the durango steering box bolted up with the brackets and popped the D44 in. still need to get the brakes and axle shafts on though.

also found out that the D44 U-Bolts Rough Country sent me were junk. You can look at them and know why, they anodized them without cleaning them properly so they are all buggered. calling them tomorrow.

Well I got some stuff done on Friday thanks to Jeepcomj for helping.

Got the Durango Steering box in (bad pic, o well haha):

Got the JCR stage 4 front bumper in after messing with the mounting hole location:

Also got the 8.25 out and the D44 up. Still need to put the shafts back in, run brake lines and put on the Solid cover. Rough Country sent me bad U-Bolts. They said they had a bad batch come through. O well, they always take care of things so the new ones are already on their way. I was going to take a picture of why they were bad, but my camera didn't want to sooo:

haha sorry.

whoever does the U-Bolts for Rough Country, they didn't clean them before they oxidized them. So the threads were all gummed up and un-useable. Couldn't even thread nut past it without cross-threading.

Wow, What a nice XJ! If you don't mind answering, how much money have you put into your XJ, roughly?

here are the pictures of the rear on wheels. Solid diff. cover is on. Rear disk brakes are on. A good set of U-Bolts finally and the rear is good to go. just need to install shocks and run the rear brake lines.
