aussie showed up today! fast shipping from Jeeperz Creeperz, which believe it or not, was cheaper then ordering straight from Aussie because of shipping.

well its been hotter then hell here with unbelievable humidity. Wade and his dad are helping me install my gears starting Monday! Cant wait.

Also started a few small things that I could do inside. I started making cupholders to go over the parking brake lever and some cb install stuff. making a braket to go between the visors to hold the cb and a cb antenna mount to go over the rear brake light box. I am going to be cutting the metal tomorrow at work and hopefully paint them as well.

Will post pics after paint.

Thanks John. Been wanting to do all of this for way two long with two different rigs.

Can't wait to get that bumper put on as well.

The only thing I am getting worried about are my tires. They aren't on backorder. 4wd hasn't shipped them yet. They said the wheels are in their TX store and they only do part swapping between stores once every week or every other. I wan't them to get a move on!

Well, thanks to Jeepcomj I got more progress done today even in the early morning heat.

We got the brakes off both of my XJ D44's. Looked over the 4.88 axle a little bit. Its actually not as rusty inside as I thought it might be, just on the top side that was exposed. We got the axle shafts out in preparing it for the new 4.56 gears and Aussie locker going in starting this monday night!!!!!

Also started tearing into the jeep some more. Everything is almost off. Just need to get the front control arms off. Pat had to go to work which was a good ending point because I didn't have a big enough socket for the Rough Country control arms.

Tires were shipped. Hopefully see them early this coming week!

Got some done tonight. Wade (89eliminator) and his dad helped me install the 4.56 gears into my XJ d44. We got to the point of adding the Aussie locker when we ran into a small problem. the D44 I have has limited slip in it, do finish the install of the Aussie I need a new cross pin and two Thrust Washers. So now I have to track those down and get them in. Really, its no more then an hour of work left. I am so grateful for the help and I can't wait to finish it up.

i just ended up ordering new cross pin and thrust washers because I want to get the rear buttoned up. Called around all over to find the crap. Called National Drivetrain and they said I would have to buy the whole spider gear kit which would have been roughly $58 with my discount. Didn't want all that crap. Called Aussie and they said the best place to go was "your" local jeep dealer. So I called one near work, they are morons and needed a vehicle VIN number, meaning they don't know what they are doing. Then I called one near my house. They were able to get it without a VIN because they know what they are talking about. The total after all the just for those three things (cross pin, two thrust washers) is about $38 after tax. Sucks, but still cheaper then ordering spider gear kit and I'll see them all friday.
