found a nice little piece of public land its only about 5-6 acres but has some nice features. Looking to upgrade my "self recovery" options right now I have a borrowed high lift jack definitely getting my own high lift with all the goodies for it, after that I was looking to get a winch but don't know which bumper to get any suggestions?

Dirtbound has good options. Jcr but real expensive. Lots of good bumpers and brands. Just choose one you like the looks of.

I think I have settled on tires I am most likely going to go with k02s I've heard good things about them both on and offload when aired down properly but I would still like to have an aggressive mud tire because well it looks BA but having mud tires are not exactly practical for me right now maybe once this becomes a trail rig only. Thanks for the suggestions on the bumpers! What would be a good starters kit for a Cb?

Word of advice, buy the best welder you can afford. You definitely get what you pay for. HTP and Hobart have some great values on good machines.

Looking good.
Check out the affordableoffroad.com bumpers.
Most of their designs are pretty basic but they are decent priced.
If you decide to get a welder and build your own, you can build one like they offer pretty easy.

Yeah I was going to use my grandpa to help me pick out a welding system he used to be a master welder for a steel company and can lay perfect beads with his hands tied behind his back and blindfolded.

Thanks! And I will be sure to check them out! I have heard that building a bumper requires better skills or else there is a lot of grinding involved

Picture from this summer after my first wheeling trip! I have some bad news though.... For awhile now my wife and I have wanted kids and I just got a really cushy job working on some rather Class if ie d things and I don't know how much I would trust this jeep with a little one right now so to the point already I am posting it up for sale open to any offers looking to get 2500 for it so pm me if you are interested. I WILL BE BACK WITH ANOTHER XJ! And will be starting from scratch with a muuuch higher budget

Well it looks like things have changed yet again and for now it looks like I will be keeping my heep!!!! Right now I am struggling with DW but it is only on bumps and turns going over 45 I have ruled out the track bar tonight I am going to play with the tie rod and tire pressure and see if that could be the problem. Also got my cargo space organized pretty well for now
