Yes the Jeep was found Wednesday night and the tow is gonna cost $1500

 

Ouch... Was the Jeep still in good condition or did they strip it?

Don't suppose you had insurance that might cover that? At least in part?

 

Insurance is covering the tow luckily I pay for full coverage
It was towed out from a field which normally wouldn't of cost so much but they had to get a "heavy duty" tow truck to come and winch it out and it was literally sitting on the diffs in mud. I am supposed to be getting it back sometime next week and I will update you guys then! Also if you are looking to switch insurance companies State Farm has been really nice and haven't kept me waiting around since it was recovered.

 

Good to hear, and yes insurance should absolutely cover the tow.

Hope everything is intact and undamaged when you get it back, if not you can file a claim to have repairs done due to a theft recovery.

 

that sucks man. sorry i pop back in and see that this happened to you.
It will be sooo awful, you can't possibly know how the thieves ran it, they could have thrashed the diffs or bounced it off the rev limiter the whole time and you have no way of knowing.
Did the interior get dusted for prints already? im sure they didnt wear gloves the entire time... Sorry, I kind of have no remorse for thieves, and especially in this day in age when people rely so heavily on their cars... well, you used to be put to death for stealing a horse, so... I just hope they get put away. we dont need that kind of human garbage bringing down decent folk.

Well I am going to pick it up from the tow yard tomorrow but after that I will be broke unfortunately so its going to sit in the garage and get a once over. Luckily my in laws are going to be out of town for a couple of weeks so I can borrow their car until I get the jeep working good again (if it is messed up) I will also be buying that car from him so now the jeep won't be a daily driver if you know what that means boys!!!! Just gotta save up for some major stuff soon to come

 

Got the jeep home last night but not after a nice little death wobble at 65 that was an awesome experience like the kind of experience you never want to happen again. This morning before work I tightened down the track bar pretty effin tight and drove to work, but after filling up on gas the jeep didn't want to start does anybody know anything about what could have caused this?

 

which bit, the wobble or the not liking to start?

maybe they recovered it by yanking on the track bar, or maybe the dumbA's smashed it on something?

as for the starting issues... im trying to think of some kind of abuse they gave it but it could be any number of things i guess.did the motor run fine otherwise?

howd they get it? break a window? the proverbial hotwire job?
