Got the gas tank skid all cleaned up and freshly painted. I may eventually swap it out for the JCR skid, but not high on my priority list right now

Removed the SRB's and leaf springs again to reinstall the skid, bumper, and BW shackles. Finally got to put Neal's strips to use. Here's another shot - JCR - XJWonders - whatever was in my Jeep before.

And finally the bumper mounted. Let me preface by saying for the price I do think the DND carrier is a solid buy. It looks great imo compared to others in its range - until you start actually looking closely at the fitment. Also when I bought this I was only planning on 35s. They say it will hold a 37 iirc, but I am a little worried to be honest. Not sure if it is up to the task. The 37 is a big *****. Knowing me this probably isn't going to stay on and make it into the final form. I talk to Cavfab on the daily about the bumper I have been wanting them to make ever since their inception. Guess I will have to up the dose of those messages now

Jesus, they let that out of the door?
Fitment issues, visible kerf marks from the plasma, and not even smoothing out the welds on the carrier itself?
There's no way I would have let that out of my possession.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Oh well. Sometimes taking a chance doesn't pay off. They gave me an even better price for some promotion IF I liked it which makes it even more of a surprise they didn't spend some extra time on it. Should be able to offload it pretty quickly. Trying to convince ORFCrawler on here to sell me his old ORF cut and fold bumper until Cavfab is ready.

Appreciate the heads up. Just tried it and it's not working for me either, but when I just type in the URL it works just fine. I'll message a mod, thanks!

Yeah, I'd be pretty butt hurt if my bumper turned out that way. Overall, looks good. But like you said, the fine details were definitely missed.
JCR is nice and it's kind of the same style as what you have now. I personally have my eyes set on the DirtBound rear tire carrier. I really like that it's biased off towards the driver side so you still have a decent view out back.

Have you guys seen the new tire carrier Affordable offroad is coming out with soon? I've heard good stuff about their products and I'm sure the price will be right in line with a budget oriented build. I'd give it a shot pending how it ties in.

Just installed my new-to-me XJ hitch with some XJW nutstrips... couldn't be more happy myself. I like JCR's stuff, but I didn't like their "pressed in" nutserts in the design. When Neil started making these and I saw that they were pressed in and then tig-welded in place well... to me it was a no-brainer.

I closed it myself. The laser cutting company messed up my parts so I decided I ll do it myself so I'm saving up money to buy my own equipment to press brake and drill holes on the strips. I plan to resume production in couple of months.
