Awesome, I'm glad to have helped you get an idea!

In an attempt to try and solve lean running problems (engine idle increases 100-200 RPM above normal) when the engine gets hot (215ish), I am going to replace a few things.

Parts are on order for a Mopar tune-up kit, a colder Champion copper plus RC9YC spark plug set, and a new MAP sensor. I've already replaced both O2 sensors.

It may be covered in the thread but I did search (promise) and the few posts that hit on "light bar" didn't answer this or I didn't catch it.

Is the power lead for your light bar ran down behind the windshield trim piece? Or where does that go? I've seen that route in a few pics (not just your build but others as well) and was just wondering what route you took them.

It's just packed underneath the rubber trim of the windshield, down to the fender. I un-bolted the fender so I could route it where I wanted it into the engine compartment, and then I bolted the fender back up. I didn't drill anything.

I wish I could say the same . It's giving me so much grief.

4.56 gears are going in this month. I called up my gear guy and I'm scheduling it up after he finishes up a Ford body lift.

Haha, I know that feeling all too well. Basically every build I've ever had people will give a compliment and I'm more focused on everything I still have to get done.

I've been researching about which gears will match the lift/wheel/tire/axle/etc combo I'm thinking about going with. It'll be similar height to yours so I'll have to compare the 4.56 gears with the 4.88 gears.

You're doing a great job with your build. Keep it up. I'm definitely going to reference back for some inspiration whenever I pick one up.

Replaced coolant today with a 40/60 mix, more water than coolant, and did a tune up with a Mopar tune-up kit that I snagged for just $50. I'm also running a colder RC9YC spark plug now:

Are the temps looking any better?

Not changing. I've taken it to 3 different Jeep mechanics that swear my cooling system is working how it should and that I'm not running lean as I thought.

I dunno. I just feel like it's a little teensy bit hotter than I'd like.

Sometimes you need to flush about 2-3 times to get your cooling system back to where it should be. I think I saw you recently replaced your fan clutch so you can rule that out. Is your efan working properly? I think after that the only thing you can do is check to see if your thermostat is opening properly, and the condition of your water pump. It's normal for you to lean with increased intake temps. You could look into heat wrapping your intake manifold or hood vents. 215 isn't a horrible temp though, I mean your efan probably isn't even kicking on yet. Try a ECU reset and see if your Jeep goes back to it's normal ways.

Everything on it is completely new and I've flushed many times. I guess it's a normal temperature. Engine gets to 220, e-fan cools it down to 215.

Gears are going in this week.

Another side project I'll work on while I wait is a set of Chrysler Lebaron hood louvers. Since I'm not a fan of cutting my vehicle up, I bought a second hood from the bone yard today. I'll cut that one up, then paint it to match the current hood. I'll either have a shop color-match it, or I'll bedline it.

The Jeep is currently at the shop getting the gears installed.

In the mean time, I just picked up another hood and I'm getting ready to cut into it for some lebaron hood vents.
