Well after you get the finder fixed there is only like 3 ways to fix it where it will not happen again. A) Get/make custom bump stops, B) cut finder flairs (TJ flares (4 rear ones), Bushwhacker, or just cut n' fold), or C) just get smaller tires... though at 6.5" that wouldn't be safe.

I pulled on the sheet metal and the dent came right out. The bolts holding the flare on actually ripped the rubber-ish mud guards so deep that I can't get a wrench in there. I have to re-position the flare now since the metal mount got a little bit bent. It should only take about an hour tomorrow and the Jeep will look good as new.

What's ironic is my buddy's red Jeep has the cut and fold all the way around and he had the exact same bend right there as I did. So I'm almost confident now that it's because of the flexing.

In your build thread it looks like you have the same tires as me, just smaller. Duratrac ftw

My friend I was just talking about that bent the fender like I did has 33" destination mts:

They've been wearing down really quickly for him; don't know if I'd recommend them.

Before/After Fixed my fender dent today:

Still just a little bit of crumpling, but it's all under the plastic flare so you can't actually see it without the fender flare being off, so I left it alone to spare myself the extra work:

Good as new!

Rustys tow hook set came in the mail today. Must admit that it looks even better than the picture on Rustys site. They're painted and come with tow hook keepers and everything. Well... let's get these suckers on!
