It's a firestik doorjamb mount

Shouldn't matter much. It's a double edged sword... higher up keeps it out of the way of lower obstacles catching it like scrub and bushes, rocks ledges and whatnot - but mounting it lower will keep it from getting snagged when you lean your upper window against a tree. Looks like mounting it lower makes it stick out to the right a little more though.
