You may have helped me decide. cheers Mate
Thx maing. I have added approx 550 lbs. Including the lift. I'm gonna take it to the dump to weigh her. I'm running a Dana 30 with 30 spline chromoly axle shafts. Gonna truss it up shortly.

Ok folks she is officially reached the 90% mark. Only four triangulation pieces left to fab, the bar for the rear window and the little piece from front tube fender to the exterior A pillar. Got the compressor and tank mounted and pressure tested. The system is as air tight as I have ever had it. Only lost 5 lbs over 8 hours. I can live with that leak!!!!! Also bought a sick tote at home depot, super light and tough. I cut out some of the rim so the strap can be on the box and the lid can open without removing the strap. the B pillar came out brilliant as both doors open, compound bends are getting easier! The hood hoop and center piece came out soooooo good plus the stripe up the hood looks sweet too.

why didnt you triangulate your cage more?

i would be adding gussets or more triangulation to the interior at least. your cage is pretty square. it looks like it would hold up in a roll, but not more than a couple times.

i would also support the harness bar in the center, form roof to floor.(maybe even an X.)

not talkin crap, just have built a few cages in my day and would like my fellow colorado wheelers safe!!

Jeep is lookin sick though!!!!! we will wheel soon. i just gotta get mine rollin.

EDIT: I just realized i missed an entire page of your build, and all of this has already been addressed. sorry for cloggin up your thread. im a tard at times.

Yea I forgot to mention I still have to do the "X" for the interior B pillar. Dammit the work never ends!! Yes and gussets galore are coming. Top and bottom of windshield bar (brass knuckles), behind the exterior A pillar, Behind the exterior B pillar, Diagonal from the interior C to B on drivers side, oh and don't forget that the Halo is tied into the interior cage at 4 points through the roof. Ok sooooo 90% might have been an exaggeration LOL. Well at lease it's almost wheelable...almost. I am fabbing the full flat belly pan on Monday and then it's game on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta go wheel her, not roll her over yet, but go beat on her a bit.

Tough for an XJ. They really need to be sub-framed. But we can sell the whole kit, it just won't be bolt on. It would require a lot of cutting and welding as you have seen here. Wait until the flat belly pan skid goes on it's gonna be sexy. Arm to arm and side to side protection.

Nope. I thought I would post up a poll. Gonna head to the dump next week to weigh her up. I'm thinking less than 6000. Original gvw was 4950.

Original is 3,300 if it is auto and an I6. You didn't read that # from the door did you. Any way I sold my 95 cause I built it to heavy and just wondered what you were at.

Man seriously that XJ is bad ***. I'm so impressed. I love how you did the air setup in the back by mounting it to the interior part of the roll cage. Great build, man. Hit me up if you ever get out to the Western Slope. I would love to see it in action up Holy Cross, etc.
