You ever get that zj handle on? I just grabbed one out of a junkyard and when i put it on doesn't engage, I went to the link someone posted, is it really as simple as just pushing it down further? lol

Got mine on today
Looks and feels awesome, also not hard to engage 4Lo like someone said. I ended up cutting it down to about the same as the stock on (the part that sticks down, its like 3" long, cut it down to about an inch?) and then giving a lot of whacks with a mallet. I was afraid of hitting it too hard, thats why it took so many whacks lol

Well as the saying goes I haven't updated this thing in forever...so here goes
I ended up with a couple new goodies after christmas!

My hatch stays up all by itself!
Also split the cost of this puppy with dad

Fresh out of the box

Mocked up to get my motivation going

I think she looks so much taller without her bumper!

Old bumper off. Got to love a quality 3 sided paint job (previous owner) Also wish he would have got the longer mounts.

Freshly repainted

Winch bolted down and half wired

Fully wired and 3/4ths spooled. Some genius spooled it up that far without cranking the Jeep. Hence the battery charger.
Finally got her fully spooled and found my own level of the parking deck

I also built a receiver mounted spare tire carrier. It started from a receiver mounted bike rack and a spare tire holder for a trailer.
This bike rack (which I got for cheaper)
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...7631_200437631
And the tire holder
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...4722_200414722
I took the extra 2 bike extension and slid it into the vertical tube to start

Then cut the threaded rod off the face bolted the trailer carrier to the plate and bolted the tire to it

I then shortened the vertical tube to the length shown

Then I bolted the tire back on to check the height

Once I got the tire as low as I could, I zip tied my license plate on and called it good to go!

After living with it for a few months, I realized that a higher quality bike rack, the carrier would have turned out better. If I knew how to weld it would also be a lot more solid. Until that point, the plan is to build a rack and sell the carrier or keep it and fix it later

Took a picture with my dads baby and my own

Also took her out wheelin

Got her close to rolling but with some spotting I got her out and didn't even have to pull winch line

Tried to box in adamk at work but he got lucky he was doorless that day and got in

And finally got around to getting my Hellas remounted on my bumper and wired up

Th-th-th-thats all folks!

Recently worked my butt off replacing my entire front end. I replaced Ball joints, axle u-joints, drag link, zj v-8 tie rod, and the associated TREs, and lower control arms (RE Superflex)I didn't get too many pictures, I was too busy swearing.
The boxes

And Installed (I did get the lower links more parallel)

I also replaced my slightly damaged (read toast) stock exhaust manifold with an APN header. This time I took better pictures
My set-up, write-up, radio, and refreshment

Shiny new header in the box, sprung for the $11 hardware kit which turned out to be a complete waste of money, I only was able to use a few of the fasteners

Painted it with 2000 degree Rustoleum

First I took out airbox

Then I disconnected and labeled the vacuum and electrical connections from the intake manifold
After that I removed the fuel rail

And pulled off the manifold

Then out came the header

And here's the culprit. It's cracked all the way around this side

After that I put the header in, and reversed the steps to reassemble. It sounds a little different and gas mileage is a little better
