I have a 97 xj and was wondering about the differance you mentioned in the door hinges. I want to go doorless and am not sure if im ready. Also more info on the door harness for the quick disconnect electrical? Links or any info at all would be very helpful. Thanks.

btw, can you tell me more on how you made them? did you cut the brackets to include the d rings? or did you weld them to the brackets? and what did you sandwich them with? 3/16"?

3/16? nope. 1/4 plate for mounting area and 2 more 1/4in plates welded to the sides of the d-ring area to make a total of 3/4in thick bracket. Had 3/4in holes cut for accommodate the d-rings. These were laser cut btw.
