Soon. I have a DIY Dirtbound Offroad Mojave Cut-N-Fold kit already for the back bumper that needs to get welded up. The front I think i'm just gonna order pre-welded. Looking at either of these:

Slayer w/ Light Hoop from Down 'N Dirty Offroad in PA, with a shorter hoop and an added hitch receiver for a winch plate:

Or the Max Approach bumper from Detours Offroad:

Haven't decided yet...

As for the lights, someone just posted a link to those the other day for them. They on sale or something like that.

I like that max approach. Similar to what I'm aiming for when the time comes. I'm either going to get the DIY winch stubby from Dirtbound offroad and weld tubing to it for corner guards and winch guards, -or- go with the bumper I discovered on Frank's site

I'm really bummed that Detours suspended sales on their Tailbone and stopped selling the prerunner hoop for the backbone.

I was wondering about that, but I haven't called yet because it's going to be a while before I'm actually in the market for one. I know they do custom fab so really, what's the difference between custom fab and fulfilling a "custom order" for a kit they no longer sell, right?

That's what I'm sayin, shouldn't be a problem. I've been looking for something with a receiver for the rear that works behind the rear bumper like the backbone up front

Yeah, I've dreamed of similar designs myself.

wow so it's been a bit since I updated this. Been doing some things over the last few weeks.

I finally got around to refurbing the shackles I picked up. Ground down the edges to fit the shackle boxes, and picked up new Poly bushings and sleeves. Also drilled and tapped grease fittings, then threw a few coats of paint on them. Will be installing soon.

Also i finally started welding up my Dirtbound rear bumper with the help of a buddy. I'm not a fan of how the side plates attach/look so i'll be modifying that. I'm also considering filling in the massive light holes. Have to pick up a receiver tonight to install into the bumper but so far i'm happy with the fitment of the DIY kit pieces.

Never mind the inner gussets - they need to get cut back out since i'm a retard and welded the gussets where the body mounts are supposed to go...

yea you're right. My error. I was typing fast lol

I didn't take additional photos but a few days ago i picked up a receiver tube from Harbor Frieght and got that cut down and fitted to the bumper - just have to finish burning it in.

Cut out the misplaced gussets and ground down the remnants, and cut out two new gussets to weld in.

Also cut out two round blanks with the plasma cutter and filled the round light holes with steel. I'll be using a few of these for aux reverse lights instead of large lights

haha that's cool...

Man, I'm seriously considering that rear bumper now. I like the design of it and I really want to burn my own together. Don't have all the equipment I need to do a complete fab, but I want to make my own for cost savings and the fact that I just like to weld.

Nice bumper there. I've always liked the Dirtbound gear, although they get too funky with the front hoops on a couple of them.

yea so far the kit has been very easy - everything is cut pretty perfect with the exception of some minor grinding to fit the gussets and the receiver tube. I;m going to modify the side pieces for the cut and fold though - i don't like how their new design looks and attaches, and i'm gonna weld it instead of bolting i think.

Yeah I agree on the sides. I'd probably modify them as well. What do you mean weld instead of bolt? You mean weld it to the jeep? or Weld it to the brackets? Hey how hard was it to make the bends without a metal brake?
