yea...it's been on my short list since putting the Brown Dog brackets on - the front two bolts i couldn't install because the alternator was in the way, and I didn't feel like pulling it out to install them at the time...

Couldn't put the alternator block bracket on that i had clearanced and painted ahead of time though - the super brackets mount over the alternator bracket, and the timing cover was in the way preventing me from sliding it out from behind them. SO i got out my angle grinder and went to town on the stock bracket.

Necessity gives way to action

true. hence why i haven't messed with my jeep in a while, trying to save up to buy my own place and a dd civic, so the jeep funds been limited to oil changes pretty much

Finally got around to installing the LED Pods i've had sitting around since last fall. Took the extra time and cleaned up all the wiring, using lots of shrink tubing and wire loomed everything.

Still need to test in the dark but i like the look over my $8 Harbor Freight lights!

I figured you would have gotten lucky at a raffle or something and won a light bar by now. Maybe you should attend more events?

Minor updates I guess.

I now have a wicked front end noise under 30mph. Changed out a bad hub but still there. I fear my pinion bearing is shot.

Rear bumper kit shipped today. Should have it on Monday.

OC Jeep Week starts tomorrow - I'll be there Thursday to Sunday. Jeep has been pulling pickup truck duties the last couple weeks as I built a new stone pathway at the house so the jeep got super dirty inside. In preperation for OC I vacuumed and wiped a years worth of dust and grime from the interior. Exterior cleaning and touch-ups tonight.

OC Jeep Week looks like an awesome event! Wish I would have skipped Carlisle All Truck Nationals and made this trip instead!

Take plenty of pictures and share with us less fortunate folks!

Seeing a sexy red XJ makes me anxious to have mine back on the road.

Have fun at Jeep Week!

Jeep did great at JeepWeek. JeepJam obstacle course was a blast - Danger Cart dominated. Crushed a portion of rusted rocker panel, and found out if I REALLY flex out the jeep and turn the front drivers tire rubs a bit on the inner fender. No biggie.

Rubbing under the air box and battery parts of the inner fender? Mine does that.

Looks good. Needs 35's, those 33's look small flexed out

Air box side only. Just enough to rub the paint off the very corner.

And yes...bigger tires...soon
