Worn out springs caused it to keep unloading, IIRC.

lol - $0.50 off/gallon using Safeway Gas Rewards . Ran my truck almost dry and filled both my tank and my 5gal gas can to the brim.

got a few things done amidst the heat wave last week. Greased all my zerks up good, replaced my blown taillight bulb, and pulled my tailpipe off to trim a little length off it and fix the squeaky joint at the muffler.

Also re-installed my front driveshaft - Yay 4x4 again!
Keeping with the theme...

did more stuff last night

- reinstalled trimmed tailpipe with sealer - no leaks or squeaking - success!

- tried to install my MORE steering box brace that I painted black last week.
Got a hole drilled though my tow hook bracket for the large bolt, and enlarged the smaller one. Figured out once everything was bolted to the frame that since I have a Durango Box that the brace hole is about 1/8" too close to the box - the clamps won't tighten properly to brace the box. I need to weld up the hole and drill a new one 1/8" over.

- installed my new-to-me CB antenna spring. Seems nice and stiff and SWR seems to have gotten better. We'll see when i find a good spot to tune it better.

- Finally got pissed enough at it and ripped out my saggy flapping headliner. Still looks like ****, but better than it did flapping in the breeze

I have a bunch of pictures from Rausch this past weekend. Unfortunately my photobucket bandwidth is jacked until next week so....the update will wait till then. Jeep did fantastic - ran everything from green to red trails for 2 days without issue.

And it's August!
