Did your jeep have a bit of rake with the 3" lift? I feel like mine does and I have the zone with full packs also. Maybe it's just because I never have a full tank of gas...Idk

Okay next update! I'm so lazy with this thing.
I went on a purchasing spree on Amazon for some electrical goodies. I found a 12v dual channel wireless remote setup with weather resistant keychain remotes for only about 20 bucks! I couldn't resist. It's basically a wireless relay. I also bought a pack of relays since the wireless triggers are only rated for about 5 volts. The goal is to have my 10" light bar and later a 50" light bar on both channels, so I can control both with the same remote. Mall crawling feature perhaps, but it actually comes in handy more than you'd think! Here is a pic of the control box, mounted to the firewall on the drivers side. Sorry I don't have pics of the completed product at the moment.
Here's my wiring as it is now. Not great, and I'm excited to get dual batteries so I don't have all that junk hanging off my terminals. Anyway the main point here is the relays. I also wired everything with direct 12v leads, so that I can click the light bars on remotely with or without the engine on or key in ignition. I retained the original switch for the 10" light bar.
I bought one of those "eyourlife" brand 50" light bars. I carefully disassembled it and resealed it with clear RTV as suggested in the reviews. Also pictured here are Farmer Johnson Offroad light bar mounts. I bought them thinking they'd clear my visor--not so. I had to do a bit of grinding to make them work, and also fab up some longer brackets for the light bar itself to mount to. You can also spy some LEDs I got for my overhead console project.
The visor does a perfect job of keeping light & glare off of the hood and windshield.
In Pennsylvania, cops can be ****** about jeeps...one of those laws is that offroad lights above the bumper must be covered. I found some plastic material in the screening section at Lowes that was the perfect size for the light bar. I just had to trim it to fit 50". It cost about 5 bucks, but I spent $15 on some reusable rubberized wire ties that happened to be for sale in the same aisle. Works great. Also seen in this pic--scored some ventshades for the windows at my local Autozone for 45 bucks.
Speaking of the OHC project, I did get it all apart and the old headliner removed. Toilet brush + drill works wonders for removing the old foam!
Got the LEDs installed in the light sockets. Secured with zip ties.
I got this switch for one of my light bars, but may be reconsidering using it since OTTRATW doesn't have the best selection for what I want. I may get a 4-switch panel for this little spot on the overhead console.
