Quote: This is one hiccup.

The top bolt hole for the power steering pump is stripped.

I honestly didn't know it until I tried putting the bolt back in. I kept spinning my wrench, but it wouldn't get tight. Pulled it right out with my fingers.

I am gonna try running a bolt thru and put a nut on it. Hopefully that works.

If not I pull out the tap and die set.

If that doesn't work, I just find a new bracket.

here you go man, my 88 had he same problem

funny thing, my 88 is from texas and the ONLY rust it had was a penny sized hole under the rear seat above the muffler

I like the build though

As seen in the 2nd to last pic I just posted...I tried pretty hard to pinch the tip of my finger off.

I popped the nail off, it shot off and landed a few feet away. I peeled the nail bed away from the top of my finger bone (you can see in the first pic), and fractured the bone.

If it was a centimeter or two back I'd have taken the tip clean off.

After a bit of healing everything pretty much came together.

JCR 1 ton OTK and lock rite locker installed.

Gotta cut off the sway bar mounts and get an offset TRE for the drivers side, other than that it's set....for now.

Been looking at that steering. Any tie rod roll?
How's it feel compared to stock?

As soon as it gets a tad warmer I'm gonna weld on the HD frame stiffeners, paint and coat the subframe, then come the long arms. So probably a few months yet, maybe by summer.

Sweet thanks, your track bar to drag link angle looks pretty good, is your track bar mount over axle now or moved? If not, what lift hight are you at? I want to go otk but dont wanna have to move my track bar mount cause I don't have a welder or access to one lol

I'm sure the angles look pretty good only because of the poor picture quality.

My axle side trac bar mount is still in the factory position, so I'm sure there will be bump steer. I'm at 3" of lift, but I have a vacuum disco front axle, so relocation of that mount will not be easy. I do have a non disco axle that I'm working on, but that'll probably be for down the road a ways as well.
