I bought this XJ just after my birthday. I had a big plan for it with little money. I dont have a picture of when i first got it but i do have it with 31s and no lift.

next thing i did was paint the grille and headlight bezels...

you should paint all of your grey trim black and smoke your lights out =]

check out my pictures for details on what i mean =]


Btw nice starting point!!! give us some details.

year? mileage? tranny? tcase? axles? gearing? all of the good stuff =]

I then painted all but the front emblems and added the XJ sticker...

I plan on it i took the fender flares off and took off the trim itself. Im going to sand it and paint it tommorrow.

The jeep is a 1992 with D30 and D35, now about 4 inches and 31s. Automatic tranny as well.

I then added the lift and painted all the other chrome. Door handles, mirrors, etc.

Put V8 grand cherokee coils with spacers and did a dodge dakota leaf conversion..

Added the glasspack for a little tone and the intake to take in more air. I still need to make a heat sheild...

things in the future:

Roof Rack with high lift jack
smoked lights
painted side trim with no fender flares
4.10 gears
lockers
lift coils for the front

try this make it out of thick lexan or sheet metal

Thanks! I love working on it. The best part it performs great. The leafs flex a lot more than I ever expected and the ride isnt that bad either.

Took the flares and rubber side trim off. Now I gotta take a razor blade and some 320 to the sides. Will have it painted tomorrow...Black or herculiner to the sides?

nice rig!!! how u like the thornbirds? i love the look but heard they DON'T pull unless u air them down to like 4 psi...
