I like your build, it is looking good! I have 87, Limited. I have a Zone 3" AAL, to put on it. I also am doing all the brakes, The only half worked, and the fronts are in need. I will post a build thread, some where on here. Done alot of work already, have some pictures too. All kinds of ideas, alot of home-made stuff going in to this one.

Do the cops pull you over for blacking out your plates. Just kidding new here and reading you thread alot of good info I jut bought some injectors for my 95 sport they are bosch design 2 upgrade and paid $99.99 will these help a rough idle and improve mileage and any suggestions on preventive maint for my tuneup. Hope I`m not out of line here but you seem real knowledgable and need my jeep soon for towing my boat over the pass. tks Kim

Cool man I think the injectors will help....I had 2 bad one so my mileage a idle and everything else improved drastically..........as for preventive maintenance and tune up change the rear end oil, the trans fluid and filter if you haven't done these recently since you are gonna be towing ....other than that the usual oil, plugs, ( I use champion) wires, air filter check your coolant change if needed......If you are trying to get the best mileage out of you XJ especially when towing be sure to check you tire pressure before you go....also before I put my new injectors in I put a bottle of lucas injector cleaner in and ran the whole tank out then put the new injectors in that way if any thing was in the tank or fuel line it would get cleaned out but not clog up my new injectors hope this helps

Huntingman pulled it out of a junk yard in GA and I met him in ATL to get it... It came out of a 2 wheel drive 1987 with like 120k on the odo I paid him $300 bucks........well worth it for something i could just drop in lock up and forget about........I have had this thing wheeling in places I would never go in the last jeep I had that had a dana turdy5 in it........rock solid....I know there are some people on here that might think the Dana 35 gets a bad rap and that its ok up to like 33" s cause they haven't had a problem out of theirs ...But I am not one of them.....I will never half to sit all day on the side of the trail with my wheel and axle sitting over there like a big metal lolly pop.....waiting for a wrecker.......

yes... i was helping a friend do a motor down at the interstate and a big ole RV pulled up... was towing a wrangler... one wheel, tire and everything was gone off the back... he broke a axle shaft towing it... lol... since he was a mile away from the exit he just went ahead and drug the jeep the rest of the way since it coming off on the intertate destroyed the axle anyway... id at least look for a 8.25 after seeing that...
