only thing is knowing when you might break a u joint. You turn the wheel and you take the strenge of the axleshaft joints away by 50%.
I've already learned that the hard way.

So it's been awhile since I posted in the build.
Here's what I've been up to last weekend. Since my rear quarters were rusting away and the tires were destroying them I decided they no longer served a purpose.

Now we have a new problem with 2 giant holes in the rear
But hey anything can be solved with a little sheet metal and welding.

Now this is were go through the tedious task of grinding and scuffing and cutting all the rust out and prepare templates from cardboard to cut the actual metal to weld in.

Now thats all over with. All there is left to do.. seal up the welds and other little holes with body sealer I picked up at a parts store. The pass. side had some waves from welding so I had to bang it out a little and even it out with a little mud. Last I sealed it all with rust resistant paint. Till I'm totally done patching up the rest of the floor I'm gonna truck bed line everything inside.

okay yesterday did the sye install and test drove.
The drive line vibes are totally gone. Feels like a different jeep almost haha
with it on the lift at full droop the rear shaft is ready to drop out of the tail.

See at full droop I got binding. Thats a self destruct waiting to happen

See the seal is leaking from all the play on the slip yoke

The sye kit
