Project: Alpha XJ
4.10 directly out of a rubicon and no you have to move the coil buckets. I don't think moving the lower control arm mounts is 100% necessary, but I know some prefer to do it. Upper mounts are good to go. Iirc you'll need a shorter drag link too. Rear just cut it all off and weld on leaf perches and shock mounts. Then the little stuff like brakes and driveshafts.

Ive REALLY neglected this thread.
Bringing everything up to speed. About 6 weeks ago I swapped out the High Beam Robo Cop Headlights I had for the High Beam Offroad Predator series lights.. These are DOT approved, and are a direct fit..plug and play. Light output is essentially identical, cutoff is excellent..no complaints at all.
Old Robo Cop on the Left / New Predator Series on the Right:

Predator Series Lights:

Installed...they look sweet if I do say so myself:

Took a couple weeks off for the holidays and got some things done..
Installed High Beam Offroad "Rok Pods"
This is a kit of 6 LED lights with a junction box, harness, switch..everything. Its literally mounting and figuring out how you want to run the leads (which are VERY long). They are waterproof, bluetooth controlled (switch turns them on/off) and are full color spectrum (RGB)

The phone app works very well, can change color from the phone, strobe, sync to music.
I mounted 2 just forward of the coils up front, 2 in the rear even with the T-case, and the rear 2 next to the upper rear shock mounts.
Very solid product.

While the shocks were out I decided Id do something a bit different with the Reservoir mounts. Rather than running them with the Fox Billet Aluminum Clamps (which are stupid nice don't get me wrong) I decided to do an off shock resi mount...just something different..more for aesthetics than anything:

So, few more updates..
Once again changed my axle plans..I had had JK44s in mind...but they are fairly costly still.
I stumbled upon a factory rear XJ 44 for $120 bucks..snagged it.
Going to run it, paired with a front 44...however not sure what 44 yet..whether its a TJ rubi 44 front, or an aftermarket (currie/dynatrac)...
Went ahead and got some parts in for the rear 44...Ruff stuff perches/u bolt eliminators, new shock mounts..as well as a Chassis Unlimited Diff Cover:
