Great news tonight! Took the Jeep to work today to put more miles on it and get all the readiness moniter passed. Plugged in my scan tool and saw a green light. That means it's ready to pass smog! New o2 plus temporary fix worked. I think I will take it to get smogged tomorrow.

So I have finally decided what I am going to do with this Jeep. Going to sell it... I got all my final parts in for it today. So here is the final list of things to do before the for sale sign goes on it.

- Install black fender flares
- Install new front bumper, bumper brackets and caps
- Install new rear bumper caps
- Paint rear bumper
- Remove door moldings
- Install new heater core
- Figure out permanent cat fix
- Lots of buffing and waxing

Be ready to see a complete transformation in the next week or two!

Lots of reasons. For one, I have too many vehicles. Even though I am getting rid of my Nissan soon, I still want something else to go. I actually think I am going to sell my Bug as well. Between selling those 3, I should have enough cash to buy a fun, more user friendly, newer vehicle that I can race (in place of the Bug) and be a DD if I wanted to. I have no issues DD the white XJ but I would rather put miles on something else. And I got the kid coming so I need less projects and more time.

Your first? If so you are going to find that you won't have the energy to do anything else for two years anyhow.

Yep first one. Which is most of the reason why I am trying to simplify my life. The kid will be my new never ending project that I get to dump my money into and never get any back out haha.

You are right there. They get expensive. But they are a lot of fun too until they learn the word "no". Lol

Alright, I have decided to go 2 tone with it. Still need to paint the door trim and get the other side done but its looking good! After that, I think its heater core time. Fun.

Wrong image? This one still shows the side trim as silver? Did you paint it? lol

Do you have an after image to share?

And the 2 tone conversion is done! Also did an oil change to get rid of the break in oil since its got 1000 miles on it. Next up, heater core.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do with my hood? The clear coat is done and wont stop pealing. Should I sand it down and try to put another clear coat on it? Vinyl wrap? I know its not going to be perfect but anything will be better then how it is now.
