Well I am still not seeing everything I need to see. Would have liked to see the pipe that is connected to that Y pipe to the cat.
But now you are saying things are welded? Sounds not stock.
I believe factory stock would the Y pipe would be one piece all the way to the cat.
Aftermarket stock the Y pipe would be bolted to a pipe which would bolt to the front of the cat.
But that would be a build date after 1/20/00.
You saying it is slip on leads me to believe it is before.
Which makes things tricky.
Also you did not post the build date.

I was afraid of that. Early, before 1/20/00, '00's are weird.
Still wondering if the Y pipe is one pipe all the way to the cat.

See this is why I love the forum.
I think I am going to have to steal that idea.
Thinking perfect place for the registration and insurance card.
Beat leaning over from the driver's seat trying to fish it out of the glove box.
Or digging it out of the mess in the console.

Here’s a couple of interior photos of my sunroof. It’s not stock but the install job is pretty good. Having a functioning sunroof that doesn’t leak is pretty cool on an XJ
