Default Pittsburgh XJ

I bought her new in 2001 when I retired from the Army. She has been my daily driver off and on since then. She is sitting at 206k miles. She spent most her life in Florida, I only brought her up here to PA 3 years ago. So rust was/is very minimal and I have fixed most of the spots. With the bed liner paint job covering it and inside lower doors and sills she should be fine now. No heavy wheeling, mostly just when I go hunting. It’s going to be my dd now so I wanted to fix it up.

I pieced the lift together over the last year during all this Covid FJB crap. With everything locked down last year I have done a lot stuff to it and plan doing more There is always more!

Front end
  • Heavy duty tie rod with Terra Flex ends
  • Rough Country adjustable track bar
  • Core 4x4 adjustable upper and lower control arms
  • Fat Bobs 3” sway bar links
  • Pro Comp 3” coil springs
  • Bar pin eliminators
  • SkyJacker Hydro 7000 shocks
  • New drive axels and hubs both sides
Rear
  • Old Man Emu 3” leaf springs CS033RBs
  • New stock shackles But I have Core 4x4 adjustable shackles that I will probably throw on
  • Bar pin eliminators
  • SkyJacker Hydro 7000 shocks
New Cragar Black Soft 8 rims with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 31s

I love the stance of it now. She’s sitting about 3 1/2” in front and right at 3” in back. Will see where it settles in and adjust to stay at 3” I had some bad drive shaft vibration from 30-45ish mph on acceleration and let off. Installed 1 1/4 transfer drop and its really smooth now.

New Clearwater head, water pump, thermostat and housing with a aluminum 3 row radiator this past summer. Just picked up another 4.0 I’m going to rebuild over the winter and then swap heads.
She is coming along nicely!!!

Before. She was pretty flat in the rear
