Thanks True Blue

Well this weekend I installed the Lift on my wifes rig. Everything went well. I took some pics but not nearly write up amounts. Maybe on my other one since I will have a better Idea of what i am doing.

Front Suspension

You must remove sway bar. Remove lower control arms. Remove Brake lines.

Much easier with spring compressors. use the upside down when installing like pictured

Rear was a Piece of cake. Only hiccup was i decided to cut the rear leaf mount bolts so I would not have to remove the Hitch. Picked some new bolts up at true value. You must replace the rear brake line for a 3in lift on XJ's will be ordering mine soon since it seems cheaper to get after market than CJ line.
Other than needing some brake work and the other thousand leaks she is ready to wheel

Looks good. I have a Renix era Jeep too and I used YJ rear brake line and it is plenty long enough. Used YJ lines in the front too. I like the non stainless line better than the stainless. Had SS lines on my Motorcycle and they rubbed the lower legs of the front end and abraded them so that it took me 4 hours of polishing to get the marks out. So no more SS lines if I can help it.

Well I could care less if they are SS or not I just want the cheapest deal. I have PMed RC,RE and C4X4 for quotes on two of them. AutoZone is 35 each and will take a week to get them. So I am waiting before I order for better deal. Really see no need to replace the front ones yet as they have a lot of room for flex still.

Looks great, I love the looks of the wood grain. My first jeep was a 78 wagoneer, and it was a woodie.

Okay got some more work done today. My wife was a lil more motivated to work today so I showed her a couple things I wanted done and Worked together doing the headliner.

Headliner wasn't that hard to do. Picked up some Ghost Camo from walmart cheap and just glued it on. Had to scrap some frillies off, well my wife did that but she said it was easy. Then installed, She also wrapped her visors in the same material and used the sewing machine to make like a pillow case and slid it over them then hand sewed it shut.

After that I actually got her to wire brush off the tow hooks brackets. She got most of it off. Enough for rust converter and paint that is.

While i was removing the front diff cover and power steering pump (needed a good cleaning and change out O-rings). She asked what she could do and Told her you can pull the cover off the back diff and she said OK just tell me what i need. I ended up having to bust all the bolts loose but she finished the job and even got a lil dirty.

Looks like some good bonding time, not many significant others are willing to wrench with their husbands/boyfriends. You should feel lucky.

Ok got the brakes done finally.

Had to replace the front calipers due to stuck bleeder also had to replace the brake cylinders in the rear for the same reason. Went ahead and changed all the brake pad and shoes also. She stops great now. Drove it around the block and she drives fine. Still have a power steering leak so I am gonna change out the low and high pressure hose. I think it has to be one of those too cause as it leaks its allows the air in to the system and gives me that nasty wine like I need to bleed them but they WONT bleed out.

Here are a few pics. I also got her Bumper and Tow Hook brackets on now NOT PICTURED
