My first thought, my Cherokee needs a name.

Second, what lift?
I've been trying to decide between a 2" lift of 3" - 4" lift.
SkyJacker; http://www.jeep4x4center.com/skyjack...jc318bksh.html
Rusty's: http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-...-pack-kit.html
Rough Country; http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-sus...t-kit-630.html

Third: front bumper, winch and rear bumper?
I've looked at two ways to go:
Rusty's front bumper, skid plate and rear bumper;
http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rusty-s...-plate-xj.html
http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rusty-s...mper-skid.html
http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-...ceiver-xj.html
Smittybilt front bumper, light bar and rear bumper;

http://www.jeep4x4center.com/smittyb...-sb-76811.html
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/smittyb...er-xj.htm#rear

I'm also looking for more horsepower and torque. (who isn't)
Summit racing came up w/best pries for similar items, so here goes:
throttle body; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bbk-1724
throttle body spacer; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rgg-1775501
cold air intake; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/knn-57-1518/overview/
that was on the intake side, now for the exhaust side;
headers; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gib-gp400
cat-back exhaust; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gib-17200

Now, for the slow-down stuff;
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ebc-gd7204
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ebc-dp61022
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-b538

On the cooling side; new radiator w/electric fans and engine oil cooler
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/flx-67108
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hda-1040/overview/

This is a wishlist. I'd love comments, pro or con for this stuff.

Spend another $70 and get a high-flow cat... No point in having headers and a cat-back system with your stock cat.
The TB spacer is useless. Forget it.
That TB is overpriced... Get a 63mm one from Strokedjeep.com.
That air intake kit won't help... Get one that goes into the cowl, or get a snorkel.
Consider getting the 784 fuel injectors, too.

Maybe convert to disc brakes in the rear... I want to say the kit is $120 from someone on this site? That's without pads and rotors though, I believe.

The Smittybilt front bumper looks way nicer than the other one, to me, but that's a matter of taste.

Also, I'd get a Zone or Rubicon Express lift kit... Might cost more, but you'll be happier in the long run. Do it right the first time. Hell, all of these suggestions seem pricey, but just be patient and do it tight the first time.

Default 50 state catalytic converter

I, unfortunately, as emissions go, live in CA. I am looking really hard and getting no where trying to find a CARB equivalent cat. Any help?
I am tossing the t.b. from Summit and the spacer. I've emailed strokedjeep.com for their price to bore out my existing t.b. to 64 mm. Jeff offers 63 mm t.b.'s for $70 plus $70 core charge.
Yeah, I like the looks of the Smittybilt bumpers over the Rusty's Offroad.
Looking into Rubicon Lifts.

If you do go with a 2" lift I've really been happy with my Rubicon Express kit. One of the 4x4 mags that did a write up on it said they saw a gain that was actually a bit above 2". While it was being installed I had a moment of regret over not going with a 3" but after it was finished I was glad I didn't. 2" for me is exactly what I wanted for an XJ that's still daily driven.

I personally like the Rusty's bumpers you picked, but you might want to take a look at OR-Fab as well. In my opinion they make the best looking pre-runner style bumpers out there.
