this is my amp rack...half done. few more wires to add, then i need to tidy it up, paint it, add carpet, hide the wires...blah.

so my aussie locker came in the mail today...a day earlier than expected! not sure when ill put it in

bought some sheet metal for the back, started on the drivers side:

22 gauge sucks to weld! i finally started getting a good system down, right at the end haha. i have a few spots to fix up, but its in there solid. ill be doing the whole rear of the xj like this, then putting down herculiner from the middle back. the front will retain the carpet, and will get a good amount of dynamat to keep it relatively quiet up front.

also have a few other plans up my sleeves for back there...

Vaseline also works. (had a friend put it on my door handles to get back at me for something, and all it did was shined them right up when I wiped it off)

axle is in with 4.56 gears and aussie:

I ended up having to go get new bolts for the hd diff cover...since the ring around the edge is 3/4 inch thick steel!
took it for a test drive...everything is good. 8.8 will be regeared this week, next weekend ill throw it in.

had some cooling issues, old radiator drain valve was leaking, tried to fix it and ended up snapping it off. so got a new one, here's a few pics:

old piece of crap out:

new radiator from 1-800 radiator. 120 bux, free shipping, came in under 24 hours:

stuff i had to take out:

new tranny cooler:

i cut the tranny cooler lines off, extended them, and ran them to this cooler i found at the junk yard. all filled up with fluid, no leaks. temps are averaging 5 degrees cooler, and sitting waiting at the drive-through, it wouldnt go over 209...MUCH better!
