Default New Jeep

Well finally got another XJ after I rolled my last one. Its a 2000 Sport, interior is very clean, not a hint of rust underneath, and it has 96,200 miles on it.

Mods so far:
-added the 2" drop ball attachment to the hitch
-swapped in my alpine dvd player
-seafoamed
-changed oil to mobile 1 full synthetic with new filter
-new air intake tube with cone filter
-new windshield wipers all around

looks good buddy! You can armor all the **** out of the dull black trim to bring it back to black instead of that dull grey... I know it's probably the least of the worries but it makes it look a lot better.

Nice looking rig, get rid of that Mobil 1 stuff tho (lol). Amsoil full syn is better. Next is Valvoline Synpower and Pennzoil Platinum

installed a 2.5 inch flowmaster exhaust last night, sounds really good.

Whats wrong with mobil 1? Any particular reason you think amsoil is better?

Ok, here's an update...started the lift!

rear suspension taken out:

same problem as last time, different solution: while taking out drivers side leaf spring, the front weld nut in the unibody rail got messed up. lovely. well instead of cutting it out and welding in a new one (last time)...my friend mark found me a correct size die and redid the threads for me! woohoo!

ok laugh it up haha....heres the back end done (thats what she said) with RE 4.5" lift leaves.

here's the front end...axle dropped, arms taken off. got the drivers side mount mostly in:

ignore the driveshaft...kinda looks like i stuck it in the long arm mount...

somethin like 800 or so...idk...tax return paid for it.

small update: both mounts are welded in and bolted up. also painted them, and put the crossmember back on. started work on the front axle, got the bushing halfway removed from upper mount, which is where i have to build a krawler joint.

Got a ? Was it nessacary to remove the front of the leaf springs from the
vehicle? I mean just split the pack add the leaf and reinstall it. Of course you need to remove the rear of the leafs to add the shackle but you shouldnt have had to remove the front.
