New found life in Jeep blog
Let me start by saying I'm new here.
Soooooo lets get started. I got a call from my aunt saying her friend was ditching his jeep cherokee for free, we tell her we want it and bam a non running jeep appears. It only has 97k
We were told it needed a battery, alternator, and an oil pump. We get it to the shop drop a battery in it and it starts up and purrrrrs like a kitten for a minute then gargles on it's last drop of fuel. Immediately we knew where the oil pump came in they must of meant fuel pump. SOOOOOOOOOO the next day we drop the tank and put a new fuel pump in it.
BAM she runs like a charm. Alternator actually works so no replacing that. Test drove it, then parked it around back for a quick wash.
Cleaned up nice!
Soooooo today we changed the differential fluid and slapped a coat of paint on them rusty covers. Tomorrow we are throwing on some new sway bar link bushings and hopefully a Rancho steering stabilizer if I can get my pops to swing it

Thanks! Not sure yet, it's going to be a daily driver and tow a trailer with my dirt bikes occasionally. I'll think about lifting it after I get all the bugs worked out. If anything I'm thinking just a small 2 inch with some 30s but we will see. I'm a broke 17 year old that should explain a lot. hahaha
