Cherokees are not sheet metal, they're tin cans. Completely different.

What nights are good if I came out and welded/fabbed one night?

Dam that's some ****ty welding man, that aside- what rod you using? Stick just plain sucks for thin ****. But practice makes perfect! Keep welding on scrap and get the feel of it, you'll get it

Oh okay I thought you were just learning how to weld. Its gonna be really hard to weld without blowing through on that thin of metal with a stick. At work I use a stick for everything .5"-2" thick, anything thinner then that I use a mig so I can't help you to much on welding thin stuff with stick...

ive seen people arc weld thin the thinck ... theyre all guys who have welded for 30 years and probably do it without hassle. They amaze me with stuff like this, but they can and do. they're also smart enough to use a mig when needed. like a long bead such as yours.

but for us normal welders, no, aint gonna happen. mig it and it'll take a couple minutes.

BTW i cant wait to do my own rockers like this. i want to exo-skeleton the lower half of my jeep so im using that as a major tie point.

Looks like there's a lot of gap between the rocker &ur tin! Once u get corys MIG try pinch that down onto the metal a little more, then do what he said burn into the rocker & just kiss the sheetmetal with your puddle!
