Default The Nameless One (Pic Heavy)

Hey guys and gals. I'm doing a daily driver for now. Nothing special but I love it just the same. This is my second XJ. I had a 91 limited previously and now a 98 sport. I'm going with at least a 4.5" lift at a later date but I started with a cheap 3.5". I've done all the work so far, thanks to the help from this forum. It's been a great learning experience. I know I've got squat compared to a lot of you but here's some pics from the start to present day. Enjoy.

The day I drove it home.

Did you just slice that whole back off? I believe there's a special way you're supposed to do that to retain its strength.

Yeah, I knew that and read about it. It was my plan to do so but on the driver side there was a lot more rust and was unable to do it. I just cut a new piece of metal and riveted it in place. I also took off less material than most.

Those headlights are awful. Love the look. Upgraded my h4 bulbs and wiring harness while installing those. I went for a 4 hour drive and had to drive home with my fog lights. Worthless but pretty

You should do something with your fenders though... cut, uncut, I don't care, just finish them so it doesn't look like you got struck by some sleazy ebay parts seller lol

Haha, I've been driving with my foglights for a couple weeks now. They do suck, you get what you pay for I guess. I'm waiting to buy some good ones still.

Roblaza, I pretty much just cut and ground 2" from that bottom crease then fabbed up a piece of metal to fit the hole with an inch or so extra on the sides so I could rivet it in. Made it out of cardboard first so I could get the right shape of coarse. I wanna get it all welded up but it works for now.

Yup, chili pepper red pearl it is. It's been in an accident and cheaply repainted. I plan on having it painted again later and will stick with this color. Me likey.

Jmb94, It's crazy how big that river is. I went there when I lived in MO, now I live in AR and it's right down the road.

The reflective ones for the same price are legit. Autopal or whatever they are called. Like 20 bucks. Loved the black ones look. Had them in less than 24 hours. They are in a box if anyone wants them

Well, pullin the trigger on a 4.5" RC lift, SYE and all this week. So exited. Also getting some real tires. Really hard decision between KM2's and TSL's. Really not sure. This thing will go out in the woods, on black river and any trails I can find out here, but a little highway too. Any suggestions?
