Thanks, I got it this way. I Wouldn't have ever bought it except we needed a spare vehicle, as our other one croaked finally. This is all I had money for at the time.

Ok, no pics right this second, but got the bracket for the radio, put all dash back together, a V8 ZJ alternator, and new sway bar bushings from junk yard, haven't got the alt on yet. Will take pics when I do.

Your really bringing this xj to life thats for sure. Sounded like it was neglected and now it's getting the attention it deserves.
I'm digging the camo and tires. Those tires really made it look better.

Yeah all the oils in it are still milk shakes. I have changed them 4 times now.. I know I will need a trans, I am planning on a ZJ rear end 29 spline disc brake. Right now things are a little tight, and I don't know wether to screw with my aggrevating shifter ****, or to get shocks...

I've got shocks on the way from quadratec, front and rear, skyjacker hydro's. They had a $35 rebate on a set of 4. I also have CJ front brake hoses and a dakota rear. Will take pics of the brake lines and post this weekend, and do the shocks next weekend. My next set of "repairs" will be a fan shroud, aluminum rad, and flow cooler water pump, and maybe the A/C.

That's a devent looking 2dr man. I'm not much for camo, but it looks pretty good otherwise.
How do you like them tires? I REALLY like the tread pattern have you had them off-road yet?
Any trouble with the shackles? I have some sitting here that i'm afraid to even attempt at putting on, in fear of stuck bolts.

Ok, after soaking everything in PB Blaster for most of the day I put the truck on the rack, and began the lift and wheel/ tire tire swap. I have to say, longer shocks should have be had, but until I recover from the tires and wheels, they will have to do. I will be upgrading to actual Lift spring and go 1 more inch to a total of 3 on the fron and 3 1/2" on the rear. To do the front lift disconnected the top of the shocks, sway bar from frame, coil holders. We pried the springs right out, and used a floor jack to get about an inch of drop and used my big pry bar to slip the springs right back in, no big deal. Here's some pics I hope!!

do they come in 33

Looks nice I like what your doing with the XJ. You posted you like the 4 door more shoot I wish I got a two door XJ to chop the roof off it. I love the paint its cool as hell and looks like the mossy oak mascot vehicle. Once more nice job.

I wanted a 4dr because of my 4 yr old daughter. She seems to do ok with the idea of a 2dr though. Yes they make the tires in a 33, but only 16" wheels. I went to 16's because of the lack of choice in 15" sizes. 15's are almost gone, although I hate to say that... In fact my tire distributors have more 50 series low pro mud tires, than even 16's, or 17's that are stock sizes.

Ok, did my ZJ V8 alternator upgrade. It was a little more grinding than I thought, but not a big deal. I removed the alternator bracket to grind on it till the alt fit it, then had to grind just a smidge on the timing cover and the block, not much though. Tomorrow I will put in a new starter, a/c compressor, get a fan shroud, drier, expansion block, fan clutch. I am still working on the 18 spd air select Mack shifter!!
That tires doesnt come in a 15in Rim,... what the heck, 16(what he has), 17, and 18
