Default My New XJ

So i bought a 97 XJ about a month ago and while i'm not doing any major mods at the moment i do love to tinker so i fiugred i'd go ahead and start a build thread to keep track of what i do. It will be slow at first beacuse of funds but if i get the job i'm going for then i'll dd my mustang and the mods on the jeep will begin!

List of upgrades already installed:
4.5in lift w/ fixed lca's, adjustable track bar, 3in aal, 1.5in shackles, full coils
black steelies w/ 31x10.50x15 nexen mt
yakima roof rack
6000k hids in projectors
front and rear bumpers and homebrew rock sliders

What i'd like to add:
Long arm kit
33's
Either trim fenders with BW flat flares, trim with no flares, or lift another 2.5in to clear 33's
8.8 swap
lockers
removable door mod

But anyways, here are some pics from the first few days after i bought it.

Great looking Jeep! I like the wheels you have on there as well. Makes me want to get a bumper.

Good looking jeep. What brand sliders do you have on there?

The sliders are custom made by a guy that works for Richard Childress Racing in VA

So I love the contrast that smoked lights give on red vehicles and i decided to smoke all the lenses on the jeep and have to say they turned out pretty good. I know some of you may not like this but hey, to each their own. This was my second go at smoking lights (did it to my laser red mustang as well). I called around and some places wanted upwards of $180 to do just the tails so I said to hell with that and did them myself

Here are some pics

Not much new here but i did manage to get it stuck on my cousins farm while it was raining. slid down an off camber hill and it was so slick everytime i touched the gas i would spin and slide farther down. Also i redid my headliner in black, wrapped my visors in snow camo, and just painted my soundbar (no way i could have wrapped that myself without wrinkles haha)

I do have plans for the jeep though just a little short on cash right now. Sometime by this summer or winter i want to lift another 2in to 6.5, upgrade to long arms (serious offroad, rc, iro), and move up to 33 13.50 nitto mud grapplers. I'm trying to build the jeep i almost bought before this one. here's a pic

Well i negotiated the price with the black one and made a deal. The next day i had cash in hand (which he knew) and couldn't get in touch with him then i found out he traded it to someone else after we had made our deal.

I came across the red xj a few weeks after that so i snatched it up. Now i'm going to build the red one into the black one. May paint it black too haha

For real man, I was so damn pissed when i found out he got rid of it but it's all good. Once i change jobs in the summer the red one will have the same lift and tires as the black one and hopefully i can build on my mustang too and make it more bad *** haha.
