Going to be getting a CB radio soon and my buddy just gave me a Firestick with 2 springs for free so I need a good mount. Anyone know where I can get a good setup for right above the rear taillight?

Talk to xjfirefighter for a mount. He has a thread in the vendor section I believe. I'll link it when I get on my laptop in a min. He's been making them for a while. That's what I run on my xj. And it's exactly what you have pictured. 15 bucks shipped. Make sure to specify your xj is a 97+ and which side you want it for.

You could always easily make one up too but xjfirefighter does a good job with em . I'm going to be getting a left side mount for mine soon from him because I'm going co phase. 2 4' red/white/blue firestiks

I was going to mention getting a spring but it looks like you have that covered. So you just need a stud mount, coax and a radio!

I believe they have them at radioshack but I know that you can get a decent one for cheap on ebay. It should plug right into the back of the cb. I had a pa on my 95 it was alot of fun I'm definitely getting one for the 00. I have to sort out some swr issues I'm having with my radio first though.

Preciate it NJXJ! So last night my buddy called me at 230 AM and told me he was stuck on these random trails I've never even heard of.. Long story short these trails were DEEP! I ended up pulling him out with a chain cuz for some stupid ***** reason I pulled my winch cable out hooked up to him and my clutch wouldn't go from free spool to engage! So now my winch is draped over my hood and roof and run into my back latch!!! Idk why my Winch won't engage any help would be appreciated! So then on our way out he got stuck again and I went around to hook up to him and I got stuck! I slid into this huge rut/puddle and was sitting at almos a 45° angle!!! I couldn't get out without crawling out of my passenger side (which was high up on dry solid ground. If I opened my door I literally was like 6 inches from water coming in the cab. It was about 530am by now. So I called my friend with a comealong for bobcats and luckily he answered and said e would be there @8 to get us out. So Long story short I just slept in my jeep all night and just got out a few hours ago! Rough night

Don't you love those late night calls from someone who is stuck?? Lol

That's always the time when they call and they are on a trail you don't know.
