Even though I habe an extremely tight budget I thought id at least start my build thread. Right now Serenity is stock but I have big plans for her. This will be a slow build thread due to budget restrictions. I still dont have my license because the day before ai was going for it the trans seemed to go out. Thankfully today my Dad changed the fluid and it all seems fine if not better than before. Pardkn amy grammar errors ill do this mostly from my phone.

We got it from a local bank that had it from someones collateral on a loan. Next chance i get ill post more. As in tomorrow during the day lol.

 

Small problem putting back getting my license. E-brake went today. Dad says easy fix thought. Wouldnt be a problem if the license office wasnt on a huge slope. Im starting to save up and sell stuff so I can get a 4.5 in rough country lift kit since shocks need replacing anyways.

I was wondering what the difference is between Rustys and RC. Im wanting RC purely from a budget standpoint.

 

if by going RC to cost more is what you mean then by all means go for it. It'll cost you more to replace all of it in the end.

 

I havent heard of any problems with them. Are they really that bad,Sorry im a newbie.

 

leaf springs are too short, bushings crap out quick, bad quality control, rough ride, crappy shocks, and there are much better options for not much greater price so there's no point in going that route. I'd go zone if I could redo it. My rough country stuff is crappy.

 

Alright thanks man. Im starting to save up. Itll look dorky wih stock wheels but my dad says that shouldnt be a problem since id get rjms and tires soon after. Just wanting to get the most costly stuff done.

Thats a good looking jeep. Im shooting for a 4.5 inch but itll be fine for awhile. I also am working on getting steel for a roof ravk for my buddy to weld me for free. Then on to bumpers.

 

Current rough draft look at front and rear home fabbed bumpers.

 

3 front 4 or 4.5ish rear, front and rear bumpers and roof rack.
Then ditched the roof rack because of gas mileage, weight, drag and money.
