Depending on how hilly your on road driving and offroad terrain is 4.10 might be perfect, especially for 33x10.50s. The more hilly/rocky the terrain you drive the lower the gear you want to go. You can usually get away with a higher gear and bigger tire in a flatter place.

Hmm, I'm gonna have to put some more thought into it but I appreciate the input! I'm pretty much trying to make it into an overland style vehicle that is drive able for long periods of time on the highway/freeway but also be capable offroad. It's relatively flat here in Minnesota but there's often some relatively strong winds which can make it difficult to drive on the highway. You think 4.10s and 32s would be fine? I would imagine so I you think they would be good with 33s.

Check out Tony_ss build. He's got probably the cleanest beast of an XJ I've seen, and is pretty much what I'm following. He's running 33's with 4.10's and he said it's solid on the highway. He's got about 4 inches of lift, trimmed fenders with flat flares, and the thing is flat out sexy.
I would assume 32's would be fine with 4.10's as well, but from what I gather from all the other guys... if you are debating 32's or 33's, go with 33's. You'll enjoy the 32's for a while, but then quickly start wishing you went 33's. It's like the lift, most people start with 3", but then wish they went 4" or 4.5".

Changed the rear brakes and springs. Woo, no more screeching noises from the rear end. Took it out a bit today over some hills at my uncles (short little video on my instagram. Same name as on here) to realize that the TRE on my rough country Trac Bar is shot and making one terrible noise. Suprise suprise. So I'm looking at the IRO trac bars and would like to get a double shear but I've heard that with smaller lifts (like me) the bar will hit the diff cover. I really want to go double shear but don't want to run into that issue. What other good brands make double shear? Looks like Kevin's offroad make a good one that won't have any clearance issues. I might end up going with that one.

Finally made some real progress this morning! Got the WP extended shackles put in that I've had sitting around for like 2 months now.
The new Warrior shackles.

Must ride rough. Time for relocators so you have enough flex and ride quality! Looks good though, those 31s are starting to look small

Actually flex in the rear is better than up front hopefully that'll change when I get a double shear trac bar up front though. Ride quality isn't too bad either. Or maybe I'm jut use to it lol. As far as getting it dirty I've got a picture but don't know how to upload it from my phone

Double sheet won't change the flex much, do you have disconnects up front? Also why did you put the exposed threads and nut on the exhaust side? Doesn't it rattle?

Yeah I have disconnects and I need a new trac bar since the TRE on the rough country one was just and a double shear should last longer regardless. And yes it does rattle a bit but since I have a hitch on it I wouldn't be able to get the bolt in on that side because there isn't enough room. I'm going to try and figure something out to stop that.

Take out the whole shackle, put the bolt in the other way, when you put the leafs back in, just don't pull the bolt out all the way.
Or you could just cut the bolt shorter lol
