Default My 1995 2 door

I'm 16 years old, working on a high school budget. I started a build thread once before but it went unnoticed because I didn't know how to properly post pictures. Since summer is coming soon and I can get work done, I decided to start a build thread.

Here she is the day we bought her.

On the lot. Ended up paying $1,200 for it.

Engine bay was clean for a '95 with 187,xxx miles.

Dashboard is mint. Also 5 speed

Side view after wash.

Front view after wash

Another side view after wash.

Rear view after wash.

5 speed

187,348 miles after getting it home.

Next came some simple upgrades/fixes.

New Crager 8's. Also some new Goodyear Wranglers. Still stock 29inch (31s-33s soon)

More rim pics.

I didn't like the fender flares and the laws are pretty lax in Ohio about this sort of stuff, so i removed them.

Still legal

Then we did the timing. (This was post lift, i'll post the lift in another reply)

Close up.

New timing on.

My exhaust was rusty, holey, and falling off. So I went out and bought a straight pipe with a glass pack (Catalytic converter got put back on eventually)

Exhaust installed.

Got some new fog lights.

Nice spot for the switch (Under the 4wd-2wd selector)

Close up of lights.

Then came the lift. I didn't have enough money for a proper lift at the time but have since invested in new coils and leaf springs. Those will be put on soon.

Rear lifted. (Air shocks)

Rear lift. Simple air shocks to take pressure off of the sagging leaf springs.

Front lift. Just some spacers.

How it sits now.

To do list for this summer.

Install suspension.
Bodywork
Paint
31inch or 33inch tires.
Cowl Snorkel
A slim chance of a V6 or I6 engine.
Possibly Dana 44 rear (Currently Chrysler 8.25)

Just finished re-doing my vacuum tubes today.

Thanks for viewing guys! Stay tuned. Most of the work will take place this summer. Just wanted to get this build thread done while I have spare time.
Any suggestions on things I could do are welcome. I've run out of ideas. Thanks

How much did you score the 1.5" Rancho leafs and what height are you trying to get your lift at the end?

I scored the leafs for around $110 a piece from Rockauto.com. Got the coils there too. And I'm not aiming for a huge lift because I'll be driving it a lot, need to keep a decent MPG. I plan to put 31s or 33s on it.
