Ill try to take as many pics as possible, I usually don't think about when I am working on something, but here is what I have to start with.

Since I picked it up Sunday afternoon, I have pressure washed it, cleaned all the tree funk off of it, cleaned the squirrel nests out from under the hood (luckily no wires were eaten), pulled all the interior out of it, dropped the gas tank which needs replacing. Now the junkyard hunt begains for interior and numerous other parts. It actually looked suprisingly good after I pressure washed it.

grab some ZJ seats. I have been to the junkyard twice and found good ZJ seats but for some reason I passed both times so far. 93-98 I believe are the years that are a direct bolt.

My goal is not pretty, its to take on the trails so I don't tear my CJ apart. It looks rough but the only rust is in the fuel tank, all I need is a set of seats, and tires will be shooting for 35's or 36's, after a little fender trimming, and possible long arm kit and turning the a/c compressor into on board air, Bought this to be a trail rig only not a grocery getter.
And Junkyarddog.com is a good resource for parts, you put what you need and it ifnds it in junkyards and gives you the prices on the items you search.

Off the trailer, got it all pressure washed interior out ready to clean and Durabak, engine pressure washed and gas tank removed, and all the body side moldings removed.

Hoping to get a chance to hot the junkyard before the rain Saturday morning and try and get some seats.

Body is straight, the left fender has a dent from a tree limb and the drivers door hinges need to be rewelded, not going to worry with the fender until I rattle can it.

I gave a little more than I wanted but it was a friends, it sat for about 3 years, the engine is a 4.0 h.o. With about 20k on it, it needs a tank, it was full of rust but it runs greAt on brAke cleaner. hope to have a new tank and sending unit in about a week.
